Hi, I’m Matti Michels, born and raised in the vibrant city of Berlin. I started my creative journey at the Academy for Illustration and Design (AID) in Berlin, where I studied Illustration and Design, diving into the world of visual storytelling. Recently, I took my skills a step further by completing a certification in UX/UI Design at CIMdata Academy from 2023-2024.

This additional training was a conscious choice—I wanted to expand my role in the creative process and become a more integrated part of team-based projects. I genuinely thrive in collaborative environments, where bouncing ideas off each other leads to even better design solutions. I’m passionate about conceptual, creative work and the problem-solving approach of design thinking, which I believe can transform how users experience the world.

Beyond design, music is a big part of my life. I spent eight years working at the Badenscher Hof Jazz Club, soaking up the energy of live performances and connecting with people from all walks of life. That experience taught me a lot about rhythm, flow, and creating memorable experiences—all of which inform my design approach today.
